Comme Des Garcons Play
Comme des Garçons founded by Rei Kawakubo, began in 1969 in Tokyo. Polish artist Filip Pagowski first approached Kawakubo with an idea. Known mostly for his artistic endeavors influenced by the lifestyle during the 60s and 70s in Poland and New York cultures. Pagowski created one of his best collaborative pieces to date. In 2002, Comme des Garçons released the PLAY line. Now a cult favourite, the iconic peeping heart gives a playful twist to any minimalistic garment. The bold yet simple designs and fabrication of the line were meant to stand out. The iconic logo has become a staple and the most recognizable design from the Comme des Garçons empire, instantly transforming any wearer into a Comme des Garçons cult member.
