Kapital’s Century Denim is built to outlast you, and the No.5 version is one of its most beautiful. The cotton is dyed with kakishibu, fermented persimmon juice, giving it a warm, earthy brown with a hint of terracotta. It’s then woven through with indigo-dyed sashiko thread, the traditional Japanese reinforcing stitch, so tiny flecks of blue run across the whole surface.
The Monkey TH cut is a relaxed, wide-straight leg with room through the thigh. Easy to wear with a chore jacket and boots, or a simple knit and sneakers. Like all good denim, it gets better with time: the persimmon tone deepens, the indigo softens, and the jean becomes completely yours.
