FDMTL weaves the look of boro into one fabric. Boro is the Japanese tradition of patched and mended cloth, and FDMTL recreates it in an original indigo cotton jacquard: changes in the weave structure create the shifts in tone and texture of layered patches, all in a single piece of cloth. The jacket has a wide, overlapping kimono-style front with a hidden zip underneath and snaps on the outer layer. The fit is relaxed, with a roomy body and armholes, dropped shoulders and a slightly shorter length, and a ribbed hem gathers in the volume. Flap pockets sit over side-entry hand pockets, and snap cuffs let you adjust the sleeves. It’s fully lined so it slips on easily over a knit or hoodie.
