Setsumasa Kobayashi founded GENERAL RESEARCH in 1994, and from the 2000s onward has been a central figure in redefining Japan’s outdoor and fashion culture through MOUNTAIN RESEARCH. In 2007, his collaboration with Mizuno produced the INFINITY MOC — a revolutionary design that brought the structural thinking of a performance brand into the
traditional moccasin silhouette.
