The Taiga Takahashi 1930s Denim Trousers reinterpret the rugged character of early American workwear through meticulous historical research and contemporary craftsmanship. Inspired by denim trousers from the 1930s, the design features a high-rise waist intended for suspenders and a straight-leg silhouette that has been subtly refined for modern wear while preserving the generous proportions of the original.
Crafted in Japan from Taiga Takahashi’s original denim, the fabric is developed through extensive analysis of vintage textiles. The warp is dyed with the brand’s custom green-cast indigo, while the weft uses slightly ecru-toned yarns to recreate the depth and warmth of period denim. Finished in a distinctive right-hand twill construction, the fabric offers rich texture and will develop unique fading and character with continued wear.
